c# – Is there a more-succinct way to employ null conditional operator followed by an awaitable with await?

It’s known that something like this

await currentPage.NextPageRequest?.GetAsync();

will throw an NRE if NextPageRequest is null because you cannot await null. The solution is to do something like this:

await (currentPage.NextPageRequest?.GetAsync(cancellationToken)
    ?? Task.FromResult(default(IUserMessagesCollectionPage)));

Is there a more-succinct way to do this, maybe in later versions of C#?
