cyberpunk 2020 – Why launch a d6 when designing drugs?

I design drugs, because punk. (See Chapter 9: Medication) I chose my effects, the strength of the medication and even some possible side effects.

Now, I choose my duration, which (if minutes or hours rather than turns) generates a multiplier of the difficulty of the medication. But this section includes the following:

When a drug is taken, run 1D6 + 1 to determine the total amount of time the drug will remain active in the system:

1D10 + 1 laps …….. x1

1D10 + 1 minute …… x2

1D10 + 1 hour …….. x3

Why am I riding this 1D6?

(I suspect two things are happening: the D10s in the table are typos and should be D6s, and the whole section is poorly written: try to capture at once how long the drug will last once administered and what difficulty multiplier is applied to the drug creation.)
