HostPerl: Atoms and Core2Duos in Kansas City, MO Starting at $22/mo (and cPanel, too!)

Hello again, HostPerl!  We last had an offer for them on February 15, 2021 for some KVMs and now they’ve returned with some dedi offers and cPanel.

I’ve long felt there are two kinds of dedi users: those who truly need the speed and want the performance of a high-end datacenter-grade CPU, and those who want the isolation/security/freedom of having a dedi but are less performance-sensitive.  I know a lot of people think “dedi = performance needs” but some people want the freedom to burn CPU without having to worry about getting nastygrams from their provider.

Well, that’s the best use case I can think of for a 10-year old N2800 with 4GB of RAM.  Still, if that’s your interest, check them out.  While I suspect the typical VPS will outperform that chip, if you want CPU to be yours and only yours and you’re on a budget, here’s an option.  I just lay it out for y’all to play it out.  These systems are in Kansas City, MO (USA).
