We are developing an application that allows the user to search for information about their name and surname. We have two search fields, one for the first name and one for the last name. The reasoning is as follows:
1) Some names are also surnames. So a field of research would confuse people about what was what.
2) The user can compare two names. It would be confusing to mix it with family names.
The search is dynamic. when the user selects the first name, he / she generates the information. The same goes for the surname. If users enter both, the name and surname combination information is also displayed.
Here is what the search looks like:
When a name is selected, it looks like this:
The problem we face:
Users do not understand that they can compare two names (this is said in the text above the search), which looks like this:
There is also one thing … where to put the search icon? Currently, it only "refresh" the content already displayed.
Is the location correct? Should the icon be inside the search bars (both) – however, everything is in order? Or should the search bar be included in the "suggestions"? Like that? or both?
In addition, when the user searches for the last name (which is generated under the name info (if there is already a name) .It is canceled. How can we tell the user that there is more content below?
Thank you for your help!
