I would just like to know if it is possible to evaluate the error of a numerical scheme using its integral solutions?
To develop that. I have a long transmission line that I evaluate numerically in time. I also have the exact solution on any point and at any time. What I would like to do, is draw the function of the starting point (or the end) in time, as well as its digitally simulated value in time.
Bring their integrals into MATLAB and subtract them.
Is this value a valid measure of the error or, when using multiple numerical schemes, which valid validation is best for this case?
