mobile navigation path design

I was trying to make my mobile site user friendly. I've come across many criticisms regarding breadcrumbs in mobile websites. Some say it is good and others say it is bad. After going through the reviews, I thought about the next design approach.

(a) add a place icon in the menu
(b) at the click of the users that point to a separate page
(c) the new page to show the detailed navigation path of the house up to the page where the user is currently
(d) also displays all related links on this page.

Is there a good design approach from the perspective of the user experience from a mobile and a desktop?
