I am currently working on a research project with a large Fortran code base. Ideally, I would like to write a script taking the output of the simulation, written in FORTRAN, and execute it through tracing and analysis scripts, probably written in R. Furthermore, I would like to maybe write a Python script to generate test cases. . I'd use bash to link all these programs together, but my PI runs on Windows and I'd like it to also run my code.
Which scripting languages would be appropriate to combine these programs while remaining independent of the platform?
