Mutual exclusion by disabling the interruption

I am reading William Stallings operating system book that gives this pseudo-code to disable the interrupt in order to achieve mutual exclusion

while (true) {
/ * disable interrupts * /;
/ * critical section * /;
/ * enable interrupts * /;
/ * rest * /;
}

But I do not understand why there is a While loop in the code that is true
it means that this part of the code repeats itself forever, but why?
