I noticed strange behavior earlier today on my VPN on a specific server.
When I run a trace command when I am connected to a VPN network (on a specific country server), my Internet will not work for about 10 seconds during the test (I can not access any site, no download can be stopped), then it reconnects and everything is back to normal, that is, the trace is complete and I can access the websites and download them.
When this happens, my VPN always indicates that the server is connected to the server, even if I do not have Internet access. By the way, I still do not have access to the Internet even though my Killswitch switch is on or off.
In a certain way related to the first point. However, some servers (like the one above) of my VPN service (a well known service) may be buggy, they display the same behavior as when logging out above.
That is, I do not have Internet access (that is, Google does not load and all downloads stop downloading), but it still shows me that I I am connected to the VPN service.
In both cases, I find no evidence of leakage, because when I am connected to the VPN, all online tests show no DNS / IP leakage and that strange behavior occurs, I have no access to Internet, I do not know how could be a leak.
So, I have basically a few questions:
a) Do I have to worry about leaks from using this server?
This is my main concern.
b) What is causing this strange behavior?
