Python – HTML comparing two HTML files and ignoring elements

I'm using python to compare two HTML files and that spits out the difference, but I need it to ignore certain elements such as "" … the value part because it will change and will always be different. Please, could you guys help me.
Code:

import difflib

file1 = open (& # 39; C: /Users/John/Documents/CompareHTML/file1.html&#39 ;, & rd; r). readlines ()
file2 = open (& # 39; C: /Users/John/Documents/CompareHTML/file2.html&#39 ;, & rd; r). readlines ()

htmlDiffer = difflib.HtmlDiff ()
htmldiffs = htmlDiffer.make_file (file1, file2)

with open (& # 39; C: /Users/John/Documents/CompareHTML/comparison3.html&#39 ;, & # 39; w & # 39;) as output file:
outfile.write (htmldiffs)
