security – MFA on Linux server stops database GUI’s from connecting

I have a VPS which has Ubuntu 20.04 installed, I have configured SSH Key pairs for remote access and google_authenticator.so.

When trying to connect to the hosted mysql database through workbench, It fails due to having no support for the extra security layer (Google_authenticator).

As a workaround I created another user, and allowed this user to connect without the need to input a code, this in theory should allow workbench to connect through SSH, However the server still checks for the MFA, before passing it through, which in-turn causes workbench to fail, due to that extra security step.

Is there any alternative GUI platforms for mysql databases that support MFA for remoting in to a server, that is preferably not paid?

Or primarily would anyone know of a workaround for this, without the need of removing the extra security layer?
