My Windows 10 Asus laptop won't start or reset. Not enough disk space

My asus rog laptop won't boot, just goes to the blue screen with the many ways to fix it. I have tried everything, including hard reset and safe mode, and I still get the same error: not enough disk space. I'm stuck in there. Help?

Networking – Remote Desktop Client Connection – Can Connect Via Cell Phone, Cannot Via Landline + ASUS Router + Public, Static IP

I want to connect from home to Windows Server desktop using the Remote Desktop Connection client.

  1. When I connect my laptop to the network using my cellphone, it works like a charm – I connect successfully and it works.

  2. At home, I have a landline with a static public IP and an ASUS wireless router. Unfortunately bdzionk – each time I get a timeout.

Apparently my home router or network provider is doing something with RDP (other services are working as expected).

How to better diagnose and solve the problem?

windows 10 – ASUS Aura does not work properly

I bought an ASUS ROG laptop a few months ago, when I arrived I formatted it with Win10 and then installed all the ASUS packages needed so that all the LEDs and everything work fine – at least that's what I thought. Sometimes they worked and other times they suddenly stopped responding or went out, especially if I'm joking with Aura to change the effects.

Yesterday I picked it up to keep working and the LEDs didn't light up no matter what. It was dark in the room and I just wanted to turn on all backlight on my keyboard. I even restarted the machine many time.

Startup sequence: the LEDs flash / hover over the keyboard in red, the screen showing the ROG BIOS logo, then continues to apply the last effect selected in the Aura application, then starts, but as soon as Windows goes into action (black screen before the connection appears), all the LEDs go out.

I uninstalled and reinstalled all ASUS packages, even those that do not relate to it, deleted all Registry entries containing "ASUS". Fact Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, restarted services, tried reinstalling again, switch files to older versions, erase AppData from all ASUS packages, even download AuraCleaner. Literally everything you could think of. Nothing worked.

After almost going crazy over certain features that weren't working, I looked at the services one last time. I deactivated each ASUS service, then restarted. It passed through the black screen and the LEDs stayed on, much to my surprise.

After thinking about activation / deactivation services, I more or less isolated the culprits.

TLDR, partial solution:

Disabling only "ASLDRService" and "ASUS Com Service" operates Aura normally, but the shortcut key to the ARMORY Crate app is now dead.

What can / should I do to resolve this problem? Reactivating these services kills the LEDs on the next start.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have detailed my conclusions here mainly to help people who are having the same problem. Although it is not resolved, it is at least something.

Linux distribution for an Asus Zenbook

I am looking for a linux distribution which corresponds to my needs (I am not looking for the best because it is a non-presence). The flavor of the Linux world is great, I need help finding my way.

Hardware: ASUS ZenBook 15 UX534FT laptop is currently running W10 pro.

What could be problem:

Nvidia Optimus = GTX1650 + UHD Graphics 620

ScreenPad 5.65 ”FHD + (2160 x 1080) + trackpad => Because it's not really useful, it's not a major problem if it works like a trackpad.

WiFi and BT: Intel 9560 (with a pretty BT cherry mouse)

What I want to do with it:

Coding: database, Webdesign => VScode, GIMP, InkScape, python

Production: FreeCad, KiCad, Blender

Games: Steam

Level of knowledge:
I agree with Windows, I use some linux for my CNC (LinuxCNC / debian) and some raspberries.

Because it was tedious to install LinuxCNC, I prefer something simple (but I could ShellBash if it really needed it).

1: Because I don't want to spend days (hours are ok) on an installation, I was thinking of a distribution that includes the proprietary driver. Good choice?

2: I am thinking of choosing a "latest version" version ("testing", "unstable") to manage the latest version of the proprietary driver and Steam. Is "unstable" distribution better for new hardware?

I prefer a wide distribution used for support and avoid Ubuntu (if I was looking for an OS that installs a lot of unnecessary craps, I have my W10).

Right now, I've found:

Manjaro

Linux Mint

Pop

MX Linux

But I can't find if they are using proprietary drivers.

I would be very grateful if I could get a distribution that could meet my needs.

Asus KCMR-D12 motherboard, booting from DOS

I have an ASUS KCMR-D12 motherboard. AMD Opteron processors are required. Double socket.

In order to flash the PIKE-2008 storage controller, I need to boot the computer into DOS. I have tried RUFUS and Windows diskpart. Both start in a blinking cursor, no command prompt. I tried to use Ultimate Boot CD and when I try to load DOS from this I get an opcode error continuously. I tried a freedos CD and I can't find any way to boot on DOS either.

Does anyone know how to boot this particular motherboard in DOS? It seems that the current methods do not work. Is there any adjustment to the motherboard settings? I don't see any UEFI in the BIOS.

Thank you

routing – OpenVPN server on Asus RT-AC66U

I am trying to run the OpenVPN server on my ASUS RT-AC66U router. I can establish a connection with my router – VPN server, push routes and DNS information. Ping works, nslookup works but traceroute does not work. This seems to be a routing problem. I have read many resources and articles, unfortunately I cannot solve this problem. Do I need to add additional routes on the router to resolve this problem? I appreciate if someone can help. Thanks in advance for your time.

Note: I know this router is obsolete, but it still works perfectly for me.

Here are my routes and my configuration;

8.1 Oreo – Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 forces CSC Fastboot mode

Alright so

It worked great, no viruses, no malware, played a fire emblem hero
I put it aside
I went to play danganrompa on my PC,
Then when I got back on my phone it was refused, there was a lot of battery left, it was weird
Then I turned it back on
And it launched in "csc quick start mode"
And it will not start normally
I also did not root my phone
Or even altered
Rn is plugges in the PC, it is in recovery mode, while the phone does not start on Android (for God knows what reason) it starts on recovery by pressing the launch
Also hold
There is this strange thing that makes
When it's plugged in (when it's turned off) whether on my PC or in a wall outlet
It turns on by itself!
I have already looked for similar options, but the message closest to my problem has not been resolved or I think so
What is CSC Fastboot mode and how to get rid of it?

guide – Asus: touch screen and keyboard with Debian

I managed to install Debian on an Asus T300 tablet without a keyboard. during the installation process I just copied a random word like login / password.

I was hoping that after installation the touch screen would work and I would have a keyboard by clicking on the inputs … and I'm not surprised that this is the case : D.

Can you help me? how to activate a virtual keyboard or operate the original keyboard?

Thank you
