malware – Are online chats secure?

For some time, I 've been using an online chat to talk to strangers (talkwithstranger.com) and today, I' ve had this strange conversation.
A guy entered the chat room and started to be vulgar so I treated him as a child. He told me that he was going to find me and I thought it was only a troll, but strange lines began to appear on his side. After a while, a name from my country that I did not mention to him. I think that he used a program to try to locate me. I do not worry about my safety, but I want to be sure that it can (in one way or another) get more information about me or yours. He can introduce into my computer something malicious. The cat was anonymous (in incognito mode) and I updated antyvirus (free Bitdefender) and even downloaded malwerebytes files and scanned them, but I did not find anything. So, is there a latent danger that I should be aware of? Should I worry about something? Also as in the title: Are online chats secure? Can any one directly hack your computer through?
