hard drive – Windows re-install – striped volume not detected

I’ve reinstalled Windows (moving from two RAID0 NVMe SSDs to a single NVMe SSD), and I’ve had two Windows striped volumes (2x 1000 GB SATA SSD, 2x 4000 GB SATA HDD) for data.

When reconnecting the disks of those striped volumes, the drives now show up as “basic, 931 GB, healthy” disks / partitions in Disk Management, rather than the dynamic drives with the striped volume over them.

How can I restore them to be recognized as striped volumes?

DDoS-Protected Network:

StevanServer can protect your dedicated server in any of our locations with on-site traffic scrubbing. DDoS attacks of all shapes and sizes are mitigated automatically, without your intervention (rent ip, clean ip ranges, ipv4 ranges available, sneaker residential, sneaker ips, residential isp providers, rent ip address, ip rent, FootlockerEU, Supreme, AW-Lab, Zalando, SneakersnStuff). This service is included free of charge. DDOS protection is fully upgradable to 100gbps on the order form. Contact us for custom quotes larger than that. We can handle it!

WE DO NOT SWAP/REFUND FOR USER ERRORS:

Residential/ISP Proxy IPs work the same as the days of old and email marketing. By that I mean, to be able to effectively send emails, you need clean data, clean domains, rDNS set up, your content ran through a spam filter, throttle set up on your MTA for the different TLD’s and so on. If you are not setting things up correctly, you get soft banned or blocked. This is a USER ERROR and we cannot protect you from yourself.

You should NOT be using the default port 22, 21, 80, 3128, etc.. You should be using port SSH 65240 as an example. If you are not confident in your set ups, we recommend you pay for our Fully Managed Proxy Solution. This will set up, manage, and throttle everything for you. It is a total fire and forget solution, and the only way we will guarantee ranges. It is a lot cheaper than having to replace an entire range if you have user errors on the proxy set ups. We will be checking your machines for anyone reporting blocked ranges to see if this is set up properly. We do not have any documentation to give you in regard to setting things up yourself. This is something you either know how to do, or you do not and need some hand holding.

Troubleshoot Proxies

2. Block Port Scanning

Q: My team and I are wondering if we would use PSAD to block port scanning?

A: We use a different sort of system to avoid detection for port scanning. PSAD will not work for proxy servers, because it will block client IPs.

Q: When you talk about port scanning, are you referring to ICMP?

A: We also disable ICMP, however that is not the only thing that is required to effectively accomplish the objective in regard to not burning out your ips.

Q: Does the port being used actually affect the proxies? For example, the initial setup by default.

A: Yes, it matters. It is unwise to keep the port as SSH 22, 21, 80, 3128 open. These ports will cause many leaks on the servers. You need to use different ports to be effective.

FRESH ARIN RANGES:

ARIN are in high demand, and if you have this as your preference, your price could be higher as these are rarely discounted. Oftentimes there is already a waiting list for when we get more. We sell them as fast as they come in because they are in high demand.

FRESH RIPE RANGES:

When it comes to the sneaker proxy buyers, they are going to want the cleanest ips possible most of the time. This includes no prior sneaker clients on them. The best way to achieve this is with RIPE, and then you change the GEO over to the U.S.. While this accomplished this objective, there is a delay in the DB’s for them to update. We do not control this process; it could take a week, or a month when it comes to a website like Supreme (we do not guarantee this website, nor will swap out entire range). Keep this in mind when making your purchase and plan accordingly.

RECYCLED RIPE RANGES:

For those who are NOT exclusively doing all sneaker sites, you often can get around it if we have some used allocations that a client has recently turned in if available. While these tend to still work perfectly fine for many sneaker sites, you do run a little bit of a risk involved. Again, plan accordingly. Solo mining: Stratum from pool 0 detected new block at height

I’m using ckpool which is a solo Bitcoin "pool". If I see this message

"Stratum from pool 0 detected new block at height"

what does that mean in the context of a solo pool?

In addition, what is the significance of a "share" in a solo pool?

IP hiding attempts are detected

So I am using Tor and I try to log into a certain web site. It gives me a message saying that my IP address was used for spamming and does not let me log in. I think ok, probably the exit node is compromised. So I create a new circuit for the web site, no luck, exit node IP changes, but receiving the same error.

Tried some free VPNs and Proxies, getting the same message. However when I try to log in without any anonymity tools, login works just fine.

It seems like they keep the database of all Tor exit nodes, free (and maybe paid) vpn servers and proxies and deny login if users arrive from them.

This seriously hinders anonymous web surfing. Is there any workaround, preferably a free one? How to deal with web services which filter out third party IPs?

tls – Firefox detected an invalid SSL certificate

February 14, 2012 UTC:

Yesterday, I connected to a website of a VPN provider for which Firefox 8.0.1 on Windows 7 Ultimate x86-64 stated that its’ SSL certificate is invalid. I saved the received certificate in a PEM file and e-mailed it to the site admins several hours later (they don’t have a contact e-mail address, so I ended up e-mailing them through WhoisGuard). They suggested that I delete the certificate stored in Firefox. I did not try to reconnect prior to deleting the certificate, because I had an exception for it in Firefox. After deleting the certificate, Firefox did not consider the sites’ certificate to be invalid upon subsequest connections. I saved the received SSL certificate in another PEM file and compared their checksums, which are the same.

The VPN provider in question is used by Anonymous Operations, who have recently DDoS-ed my countries’ presidents’ website, with his office making a statement that it will put an end to further attacks, and several other government websites. What do you think, is this a Firefox bug or might have there been a Government in the Middle attack?

February 18, 2012 UTC:

Today, I had the same warning with Firefox 10.0.1; the exact error is “sec_error_unknown_issuer”. The certificate does not start at certificate root; it’s not a self-signed certificate, either; it’s a GlobeSSL certificate.

drivers – Bluetooth mouse not detected on Windows 10

My installation of Windows 10 can detect other Bluetooth devices but cannot detect a Logitech MX Master Bluetooth mouse. I have checked that Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer is enabled, and I’ve paired this mouse with other computers without issue.

I’ve installed Logitech Options, but that isn’t very useful as adding a Bluetooth device via the software takes you to the Windows “Add Devices” setting. I also verified that the mouse has the latest firmware.

I also tried uninstalling / reinstalling the drivers and enabling / disabling the Bluetooth devices in Device Manager without any luck. I also verified that I am running the latest Bluetooth drivers.

The mouse works great using the Unifying Receiver. It just can’t connect via Bluetooth for some reason.

windows 10 – logitech mouse, keyboard detected only at bootup?

I have a Logitech wireless mouse, keyboard pair with USB receiver
(not the short “unified” one, but a bit longer one).
If I plug in the USB and reboot Windows, the USB receiver is detected
as “Logitech HID-compliant Cordless Mouse” and keybord respectively
and both the peripherals work fine.

If I plug out the USB receiver (when I am leaving my desk) and then
come back and plug it in, it doesn’t work! I will have to plug-in and
reboot windows again !!

Why does Windows seem to loose the information on USB removal!?
Do I have to make some entry in the registry ?

sql injection – SQLMap – Invalid character detected. retrying

I recently discovered an time-based blind SQL injection attack on one of the websites. I was able to dump the data with 100 threads (By default, SQLmap doesn’t allow more than 10 but, I modified the source code) running in parallel at a rate of about 30 rows of records an hour.

3 days after I reported the issue, the developers mentioned that they have “applied a patch” and asked me to test again. The issue still existed. The payload above in the username field still caused a 5 second delay in the response however, I could not extract the data with the same rate. It had significantly slowed down to some 3-ish records in 16 hours. SQLMap kept throwing this error:

(10:05:38) (ERROR) invalid character detected. retrying..
(10:05:38) (WARNING) increasing time delay to 23 seconds

I was wondering what patch it could have been.
