unity – Platformer movement disabled after crouching

So, the problem is the movement to left and right is disabled after crouching and releasing

void Crouch()
{
    if (Input.GetKey(KeyCode.C))
    {
        movementSpeed /= 2f;
        anim.SetTrigger("crouch");
        rb.constraints = RigidbodyConstraints2D.FreezePositionY;
        cd.GetComponent<CapsuleCollider2D>().enabled = false;
        cd.GetComponent<BoxCollider2D>().enabled = true;
    }
    else
    {
        movementSpeed /= 1f;
        anim.SetTrigger("idle");
        cd.GetComponent<CapsuleCollider2D>().enabled = true;
        cd.GetComponent<BoxCollider2D>().enabled = false;
    }
}

unity – Model missed by both EventSystem.current.RaycastAll and IPointerClickHandler unless disabled and re-enabled in the Editor

I have a situation where a model is ignored in favour of one behind it. The rear model is returned by EventSystem.current.RaycastAll, and the front model’s IPointerClickHandler callback isn’t triggered if the rear model is present. The rear model does not implement IPointerClickHandler (or pointer up/down handlers, etc). Both these things work on the front model if the rear model isn’t there.

Debugging shows that the Raycast is only returning one result. By comparing behaviour when the rear model is and isn’t present, I can verify that the distance value in the RaycastResult is greater when hitting the rear model than when hitting the front model.

I can “fix” the problem by using the Inspector to disable and re-enable the front model.

Here’s the problem and the “fix” in action:

Higher quality version here.

EventSystem.current.RaycastAll is used to power the tooltips, and IPointerClickHandler is (unsurprisingly) used to get the cube model to react to clicks.

magento2 – How can I allow disabled or out of stock product to be ordered by admin order in Magento 2

How can I allow disabled or out of stock product to be ordered by admin order in Magento 2 without allowing backorder so that it is not allowed at the frontend.

I have found that in the particular case the quote item object set isDeleted true for the item, so it gets removed from the quote on the following section refresh.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

macbook pro – Sleep/wake or backlight issue on 10.15 Catalina with disabled broken NVIDIA dGPU

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012) with a non-functioning NVIDIA dGPU, which I’ve disabled using the NVRAM method (1)(2). On MacOS Sierra, 10.12, this method (and moving the NVD* kexts) worked perfectly, including sleep/wake and brightness.

Unfortunately I needed to update to MacOS Catalina, 10.15, for some required software compatibility, and now when it wakes from sleep, the display remains off (either it’s trying to use the dGPU or the backlight does not come back on); brightness keys also no longer work. I can ssh in, so it’s clearly waking from sleep, just no display, and I have to reboot. It’s the same whether I use the software menu or close to laptop lid to sleep. Interestingly, the display sleep (set to a 10 minute timer in System Preferences) works fine (the backlight comes back on afterwards).

Maybe is there a specific new kext that can be unloaded, and the equivalent kext from sierra loaded in its place? Otherwise, are there any low-level direct controls for the backlight?

I’ve tried sudo pmset -a gpuswitch 0 and sudo kextload /NVIDIA_BAK/NVDAResman.kext after login, but to no avail.

I’m aware of some hardware fixes (3) and (4) but I’m not sure if they apply to my specific model with NVIDIA dGPU, as this issue seems to be slightly more common with the previous AMD dGPU model. Ideally I’m hoping this can be fixed in software (and is revertable), as it clearly worked on sierra.

network – Macbook Pro doesn’t accept any incoming connections – Firewall disabled!

My MacBook Pro running macOS Big Sur 11.3.1 doesn’t respond to Ping, SSH, and Remote Access.

What I tried so far:

  • Made sure “stealth mode” was disabled on Firewall
  • Disabled the Firewall entierly
  • Resetted all network configurations (removing plist files on /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/)
  • Removed the Wi-Fi adapter and re-added it
  • Removed any VPN apps (wireguard)
  • Updated to the latest macOS version

It can access all devices on my local network, but no devices can access it.
I have no idea what else I can try.

Mission Control (expose) disabled by CASSPP test setup

I recently setup my son’s 10.15.7 OS X mb pro to take the CASSPP test. They require that you load up a special profile that turns off a bunch of stuff, as described here:

https://ca-toms-help.ets.org/spring-21-parents-guardians/download-secure-browser/mac-big-sur/

That all went fine, as did, for the most part, the annoying mess of manual stuff you have to do to undo the damage wrought by installing the new profile. (See section “Steps to Restore Settings”). Everything came back EXCEPT mission control (expose). I usually have expose hooked to my hot corners, and I can hook pretty much anything else (e.g., enter screen saver) to the hot corners and they work fine, but expose (mission control) seems to be simply dead. It’s not dead for other accounts, just the one we did the new profile to. And it’s dead to the function keys as well (f3, I guess). I even tried using terminal commands (defaults), rebooting multiple times, resetting the SCM — pretty much everything you can think of, but I can’t get mc/expose to work.

Any further advice on how to force it on?

Thanks!
