virtual machines – How to modify a vᴍ instance setting to boot from BIOS to UEFI?

I shrank my boot hard disk size on my Google Cloud Compute ᴠᴍ. Something which switched the boot method of the ᴏꜱ installed on it from legacy to uefi along the disk boot’s settings (which triggers uefi setting must be the same for the instance and the boot disk. error).

How to change the Instance setting in order to match the (uefi) setting of the instance (given the ᴏꜱ boot method on the disk was migrated too) ?

ssh – Why doesn't this RSA key pair work on an ec2 instance?

I have a pair of RSA keys stored in files id_cloud_network and id_cloud_network.pub.

Unfortunately, I did not generate it myself, so I am unable to say which exact command generated it.

For some reason, I cannot connect to an EC2 instance launched with the public key above provided. When I run the following

ssh -i id_cloud_network ec2-user@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

SSH command returns an error Permission denied (publickey).

On the other hand, it works well for any other instance launched with a newly generated key pair (created via ssh-keygen).

So what's wrong with my old pair of keys?

I compared the contents of the file of my "bad" key pair and any other pair of keys in operation and I noticed that they have a similar structure:

  • Both private key files start with -----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY---- and finish with -----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
  • Both key pairs are 2048 bit
  • Operation ssh-keygen -yf id_cloud_network returns the exact coded key found in id_cloud_network.pub file. So I guess it's a legitimate key pair.

What else can i check?

(For obvious reasons, I don't attach the key pair).

Thank you!

How to list existing containers in a gitlab instance

Hello, I have an internal server in the company with Gitlab installed. When scanning files on this server, I identified an extremely large volume.

I need to know what the solution is with this container so that I can refactor it, but in gitlab there are a lot of internal projects that make it difficult to check which project this volume is part of.

Is there a way, via gitlab on the admin panel or via the terminal, to map this information to identify the solution that this volume belongs to?

Python pip installer grpcio kills connections to my Google compute instance?

I see a strange problem when I try to install the Pip package "google-cloud-datastore"where once it starts building the dependent" grcpio "wheel, all TCP connections (including SSH) to the instance become unusable, and all subsequent SSH connections expire even from the Cloud console.

After leaving the SSH terminal open for 10 minutes after running pip, the last lines never change as follows:

Building wheels for collected packages: grpcio
  Running setup.py bdist_wheel for grpcio ... |

The instance responds to ICMP pings as if nothing had happened, but the only way to connect is to reset it from the Cloud console.

The instance is a f1-micro (1 virtual processor, 0.6 GB memory) run in the area us-central1-b. The entire pip outlet can be found in this dough box

sql server – How to get the list of users on all instance databases? excluding mirrors!

For an audit of our MSSQL databases, I was asked to provide a list of all users for each database run on each instance.

I found the question below …

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2445444/how-to-get-a-list-of-users-for-all-instances-databases/2445487#2445487

who advised to use …

exec sp_MSforeachdb 'select * from ?.sys.sysusers'

However, this poses some problems.

1) If one of the databases is a mirror, the script errors as below and do not return any results.

"The database "###" cannot be opened. It is acting as a mirror database."

2) If one of the databases has a special character in its name (for example, a hyphen -), again, it generates errors and does not return results.

Msg 102, Level 15, State 1, Line 1
Incorrect syntax near '-'.

3) The results are all in separate tables. Ideally, I would like it to simply produce 1 database and user table.

Can anyone help adjust the code to achieve the above goals?

Thank you

php – Unable to access ec2 instance with wordpress installed on it

I have an EC2 instance (ec7-1-33-24-12.compute-1.amazonaws.com) and connected to my domain name (mydomain.com). I was getting a security error above the browser, so I tried to install SSL from https://letsencrypt.org/. Once I did this, I was unable to access the web page with HTTP and https at the same time. Did not load the page at all.

To resolve this problem:

I have uninstalled all SSL configurations / libraries from letsencrypt.org and
Files.

However, I was unable to access my EC2 instance or domain from the browser.
To resolve, I must again:

  1. Copy all files from the /var/www.html directory to another folder.
  2. Httpd not installed
  3. / var / www folder deleted
  4. https reinstalled
  5. Did the exact same thing since: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/install-LAMP.html
  6. Now I can no longer access the Apache server
  7. When I copy the EC2 URL its adaptation with HTTPS and when I change the HTTPS I can see the details of the apache server
  8. The phpinfo.php page does not work, I get static text from them. I have a current version of PHP with 7.2.

Please help resolve this issue, or I need to create a separate EC2 instance and save all copied files there.

Thank you!

spfx – Properties pane (bag) per component instance such as the Quick Links Web Part

I'm trying to achieve something very similar with the Quick Links Web Part. So I would add new link buttons in edit mode and some general properties like the title, but I would have a separate properties bag for each button with each link. You can see the Quick Links Web Part below, showing

Webpart Quick Links showing the button for customizing links

And the properties pane only for Titulo 2:

Properties pane of the Titulo 2 link

Is there any way to imitate this type of functionality, but where would I have full control over the user interface and the properties available? Maybe nested web parts?

Amazon Web Services – EC2 instance gateway changes automatically

Part of my instances are deployed with code in its /etc/rc.local

#!/bin/sh
# Managed by puppet - do not modify

/sbin/route del default
/sbin/route add default gw 11.0.0.254

Everything works fine at first, but after a few minutes, the gateway takes the default value (11.0.0.1)

I think this only happened recently.

Why is that?
How can I change it?

More information:

Immediately after start-up. The instance routing table looks like this …

Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface
0.0.0.0 11.0.0.254 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 ens5
11.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 ens5
11.0.0.1 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 UH 100 0 0 ens5

After a while, it looks like this .. (and of course, lost internet access)

Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface
0.0.0.0 11.0.0.1 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 ens5
11.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 ens5
11.0.0.1 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 UH 100 0 0 ens5

If I modify the routing table manually. After a while, it looks like this …

Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface
0.0.0.0 11.0.0.254 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 ens5
0.0.0.0 11.0.0.1 0.0.0.0 UG 100 0 0 ens5
11.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 ens5
11.0.0.1 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 UH 100 0 0 ens5

Internet access is working but I don't like this unsolicited change and I don't like this manual repair as these instances are in an auto-scaling group.

How to use Litecoin Testnet on a fully synchronized Litecoin kernel on the Amazon EC2 instance

I launch a synchronized litecoind on the amazon ec2 linux instance.

[ec2-user@ip-xxx-xx-xx-xxx ~]$ litecoind -version
Litecoin Core Daemon version v0.13.2.1

[ec2-user@ip-xxx-xx-xx-xxx ~]$ litecoin-cli getblockcount
1411130

I tried to start the daemon with the commands below

  • litecoind -testnet -daemon
  • litecoind -daemon, then litecoind -testnet

I want to get the litnetoin testnet address to test the sending of LTCT. But when I generate an address, I get a litecoin address. How can I use this kernel to switch between the main network and testnet?

UPDATE

[ec2-user@ip-xxx-xx-xx-xxx ~]$ litecoind --testnet --daemon
Litecoin server starting
[ec2-user@ip-xxx-xx-xx-xxx ~]$ litecoin-cli getnewaddress
error: couldn't connect to server

High The command displays litecoind running.
5787 ec2-user 20 0 786m 26m 288 S 1.0 2.6 0: 00.63 litecoind

Is it okay if I kill the demon ??

AWS EC2 instance traffic peak on port 80

We have received an "abuse report" from AWS stating that we may have suffered a DDOS attack. From what I could see, there were definitely spikes in the past two days. According to AWS, we need port 80 (HTTP / WEB). To be honest, this is not very common. However, I just wanted to take a few suggestions from the community on what some should / could do in this situation?
