macos – Prohibitory Sign Appears Sporadically

There is a popular question about what to do when the prohibitory symbol (stop sign) appears on a Mac. For me, none of the solutions work, but sometimes my iMac just manages to load. I’ve lived like this for years (I don’t reboot for months). I turn it on, reach the symbol, turn off, rinse and repeat. Within an hour it manages to load and works fine, and sometimes it loads immediately. There’s no pattern.

Notably, a clean install didn’t help with this.

Things that I’ve tried: resetting NVRAM, disconnecting power for a minute, verify disk and repair from the disk utility that can be loaded with cmd+r (there are no mistakes).

My vague understanding of the symbol is that it is failing to find where to load the system from – but why would it be able to load it occasionally?

Any thoughts on what could be the problem?

Thanks in advance.

The start of the Google Maps application is sporadically long

On a Samsung S7 Active, the Google Maps app will take a long time to start, sometimes on the lower screen for about 5 minutes. I've cleared the cache, tried to uninstall the updates, and then reinstalling them. This happens even on a fairly fast network. Other applications do not seem to have this problem.

What are the cards doing during this time? Is it possible to get a faster boot?

6.0 Marshmallow – What reasons would the network radio of an Android phone disactivate sporadically?

I have an Android phone that is experiencing a problem that I suspect to be hardware related. At random, the service will no longer work on the phone and the only solution I have found to temporarily solve the problem is to dial the number. *#*#4636#*#* and turn on the radio manually. This will restore functionality, but only temporarily. It seems to be undetermined when it stops working again.

I can not think of a good methodology to pin down the problem, so any idea would be helpful

7 – The Admin theme setting continues to reset sporadically

I work on a local instance and from time to time, the admin theme loads the default theme as admin theme. My default theme is not a functional administrator theme. So I see errors when I try to access the administrator pages. Technically, the settings.php file that uses Conf, Drush and the database shows all the themes of the administrator and enabled on my theme, which uses Seven as the basic theme. But this only loads the default theme, not the admin theme, regardless of its setting.

To fix the problem temporarily, I've set the default theme to a main theme like Seven, either via conf settings or using Drush to set it, then I can only use Appearance to reset the default theme to my custom. When this happens, the front-end of the site and the admin theme will work correctly.

I have been working on this site for over a year now and it may continue every two weeks. Any ideas on why this happens? I've already asked this question and the question is considered too broad, but I literally have no clue to follow to include it in the question. HELP ME, PLEASE. :]

16.04 – / cache / fontconfig sporadically increases to 13 GB (3091259 files !?)

Apparently, my fontconfig cache on Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS seems to grow sporadically to reach 13 GB.

I tried to run sudo fc-cache -f -v who exit

/ var / cache / fontconfig: cleaning the cache directory

but after it still has 13 GB. Count the results of the files in 3091259 files in the cache folder!

I only have a set of default fonts installed, nothing extraordinary.

I guess I could just delete the contents of the cache folder and rebuild it, but I wonder what's causing these sporadic peaks in cache size and how to avoid 3 million cache files for some fonts.

Here is the complete output of fc-cache -f -v

sharepoint online – The definition of property bag values is only sporadically defined

We have created a script / site design that triggers a function application. Some property bag values of the app set feature are:

var adminCtx = ClientContextExtension.GetAppContext ("https://xxx-admin.sharepoint.com", Configuration.AppRegistrationId, Configuration.AppRegistrationKey, Logger);
tenant var = new tenant (adminCtx);
tenant.SetSiteProperties (Site.Context.Url, noScriptSite: false);
adminCtx.ExecuteQuery ();

Logger.WriteTrace ("Property found in the database.Definition of propertybag values", SeverityLevel.Verbose);
Site.Context.Web.SetPropertyBagValue ("forvaltning", KKOrg.Forvaltning);
Site.Context.Web.SetPropertyBagValue ("afdeling", KKOrg.Afdeling);
Site.Context.Web.SetPropertyBagValue ("kkorg", KKOrg.KKOrgNr);
Site.Context.Web.Update ();
Site.Context.ExecuteQueryWithIncrementalRetry (3, 5, recorder);

This works about 3 times out of 4. About 25% of the time, this code does not set the values in the property bag. Any ideas what can cause this? I can see in the log that the code is running. Does the site design start too early and then cancel or?

YouTube issue that sporadically inserts a static "subliminal" image for 1 image of downloaded video

In the next video I uploaded to my YouTube channel, a still image from the beginning of the video flashes one image several times throughout the video. Here is an example just after the 5:48 mark:

The original video stored on my computer (which I uploaded to YouTube) does not present these "problems".

I reported it to YouTube and they are working on the video repair. As a result, the problem may no longer exist for this video. However, I have seen a few people complain about a similar problem, and so I ask the question of whether it is possible to do anything to minimize the likelihood of these problems.

I use 30fps, 1080p, H.264, generated by Premiere. The original video is 59.94fps, but again, the video exported at 30fps seems perfect on my machine.

If the video is corrected by the time you see it, here are two images of the brand 5:49, the second being the image previously inserted in the video.

Automatic transfer of Gmail addresses does not work sporadically

This is a new problem, which began to occur about two weeks ago. We automatically send emails from our domain mailboxes to groups of people, some of whom have a Gmail address. Automatic transfer to email addresses other than gmail still works. Transferring to Gmail addresses sometimes works, but about a third of emails are rejected by Google as insufficiently authenticated. This can happen with two emails sent by the same person a few minutes apart: one will be auto-transferred successfully to all addresses, the other will not be auto-forwarded to addresses gmail. I've checked with our hosting provider and emails are permanently transferred, and we have all the appropriate DNS SPF, DKIM and DMARC records in place.
We rely on this automatic procedure to work consistently within our community organization on communication, and the recent intermittent failures drive us crazy. Do I have to tell everyone who has a Gmail account to use another email service?
