The drive detectable in the BIOS however and initially after rebooting, I can see its partition table with lsblk:

bootcamp – How to install Windows 10 on a Mac Mini booted from an external SSD?

I have a Mac Mini 2018 that boots from an external 2TB SSD. I would like to install Windows on the internal 256GB SSD. Preferably use the entire internal drive. When I launch Boot Camp Assistant, he complains External storage device Attached. The two alternatives I have considered:

  1. Run Windows 10 on a virtual machine – I have done this in the past but I was not happy with the experience.
  2. Boot from the internal drive and install Windows 10 on a partition. – It would be a waste of limited space on the player.

I take Apple at the word that I cannot resize Windows partition after creating it. I don't expect to use Windows a lot, but when I do, I want it to behave itself. Can the process be done without Boot Camp Assistant?

hard drive – RAM and hard drive disappear from Windows after installing new NVME SSD

I have a really weird problem.

I just installed a new NVME M.2 PCIe SSD and after booting into Windows, 2 of my old hard drives are not visible, not even in Device Manager.

I have Gigabyte B450 AORUS M, 3x SATA HDD, 1 SATA system SSD and now the new NVME drive, WIN 10. So the system now only sees SATA SSD, NVME SSD and 1 of 3 SATA HDDs.

And on top of that, Windows only sees 8 GB of memory, I mean in Control Panel System and Security System, it says: Installed memory: 16 GB (8 GB usable). So this RAM key is there, it cannot be used for any reason.

What's up with that? I have checked the hard drive cables and memory, but everything looks fine. I just shut down my PC, remove the GPU to access the M.2 location, put the GPU back on and turn the PC back on.
