Chrome browser: how to close current tab without showing all tabs first?

When I’m browsing on my computer I can press CTRL-W or click the X on a tab to close it. That’s convenient. But it seems Android / Chrome has no similar function.

To close the current tab on Android, I need to click the “tabs” icon which brings up all tabs. This often takes 10-60 seconds on my phone because there is anything between 100-3000 tabs open/cached there and seems very unecessary.

Is there another way to close the current tab without first loading all the tabs?

macos – Where does Safari save recently closed tabs?

When I force the immediate exit of Safari with open tabs, then restart Safari, this message appears:

Safari was last opened when opening Windows terminated immediately. Do
you want try to open the windows again to open?

If you stipulate that window won’t do it again you may have to open
and position the window yourself.

I deleted the Safari location before opening Safari, so before the message appeared, everything in ~/Library/Safari was deleted. How can Safari restore everything? I also used the purge command line utility to purge the ram.

Thanks and best regards.

Multiple timestamps in multiple columns on multiple Google Sheet tabs

I am trying to work out what script is required to have multiple timestamps on several tabs however each one I have tried doesn’t work for me. I am new to this.

When text is added to column 2 I need a timestamp in column 1. When text added in 8 I need a timestamp in 7. When 15 which is a checkbox, a timestamp in 16, and when 18, timestamp in 17. Is this possible to have so many?

My current script is as follows and this is giving me the time stamp in column 1 when column 2 is amended and it doesnt overwrite when it is changed a second time.

function onEdit(e) {
  var row = e.range.getRow();
  var col = e.range.getColumn();
  if (col === 2 && row > 1 && e.source.getActiveSheet().getName() === "June 2021") {
    if (e.source.getActiveSheet().getRange(row, 1).getValue() == "") {
      e.source.getActiveSheet().getRange(row, 1).setValue(new Date());
    }
  }
}

Timestamps on Multiple Google Sheet Tabs

Can anyone help me how i can get a script that can run a timestamp for different tabs.
So each tab is going to be used by different users, I have 4 different users and sheets…each time the user ticks the check box in column three, i need a time stamp on column 1. I need this to happen to sheet 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Is this possible?

My current script is as follows. I had it working for just one sheet but now i have added other sheets it is happening on all sheets and not when a specific column is changed.

function onEdit(e) {

var row = e.range.getRow();

var col = e.range.getColumn();

if(col === 2 && row > 1 && e.source.getActiveSheet().getName() === “June 2021”){

if(e.source.getActiveSheet().getRange(row,1).getValue() == “” ){

e.source.getActiveSheet().getRange(row,1).setValue(new Date());

}

}

}

google sheets – Add all tabs to a script with out having to manually add them to the script

I am trying to make this as simple as possible for users in our office that may not know how to edit script.. right now I have the following code (see below) however I have to list out each sheet name instead id like to include all sheets in this file automatically.

function onEdit(event) {
  dateStamp(event);
  moveClosedCases(event);

}

function dateStamp(event) {
  var ss = SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSpreadsheet();
  Logger.log(event.source)
  var s = event.source.getActiveSheet();
  var r = event.source.getActiveRange();
  //CORE VARIABLES
  // The column you want to check if something is entered.
  var COLUMNTOCHECK = 11;
  // Where you want the date time stamp offset from the input location. (row, column)
  var DATETIMELOCATION = (0, -10);
  // Sheets you are working on
  var SHEETNAMES = ('JC', 'AU', 'AP', 'NA', 'BG', 'CE')

  //checks that we're on the correct sheet.
  if (SHEETNAMES.includes(s.getSheetName())) {
    //checks the column to ensure it is on the one we want to cause the date to appear.
    if (r.getColumn() === COLUMNTOCHECK) {
      var dateTimeCell = r.offset(DATETIMELOCATION(0), DATETIMELOCATION(1));
      dateTimeCell.setValue(new Date());
    }
  }
}

function moveClosedCases(event) {
  var ss = SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSpreadsheet();
  var s = event.source.getActiveSheet();
  var r = event.source.getActiveRange();
  // Sheets you are working on
  var SHEETNAMES = ('JC', 'AU', 'AP', 'NA', 'BG', 'CE')
  var COLUMNTOCHECK = 2 //1 = A, 2 = B etc.

  if (SHEETNAMES.includes(s.getName()) && r.getColumn() == COLUMNTOCHECK && (('Closed', 'closed', 'No Response', 'no response', 'No response').includes(r.getValue()))) {
    var row = r.getRow();
    var numColumns = s.getLastColumn();
    var targetSheet = ss.getSheetByName("Closed Cases");
    var target = targetSheet.getRange(targetSheet.getLastRow() + 1, 1);
    s.getRange(row, 1, 1, numColumns).moveTo(target);
    s.deleteRow(row);
  }
}

usability – Is it good practice to place tabs at the same level when search is the main feature? How to deal with spacing?

There are two potential approaches, but you have to have a consistent design approach/philosophy if you want to achieve the best user experience.

The search feature, if applied globally to the application, should sit at a level above the tabs so that the user isn’t confused about whether the search results relate to the contents in the tabs or not.

However, if the search feature only retrieves results relating to what is in the tabs, then it can also make sense for it to sit in the same level, provided that you can manage the spacing. This can be done by common strategies used in browsers to manage tabs (when you have too many to fit on the screen, especially in devices with narrow widths) or create a more compact search call-to-action (e.g. icon that expands when clicked and collapses when not in use).

Moe reviews tabs to the first

I firs removed more details tab.
I tried to move the reviews tab to first and then moved the details tab but it’s not working.

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<page xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
      xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="urn:magento:framework:View/Layout/etc/page_configuration.xsd">
    <body>
        <referenceBlock name="product.attributes" remove="true"/>
        <referenceBlock name="product.info.details">
            <referenceBlock name="product.info.description">
                <arguments>
                    <argument name="priority" xsi:type="string">50</argument>
                </arguments>
            </referenceBlock>
            <referenceBlock name="reviews.tab">
                <arguments>
                    <argument name="priority" xsi:type="string">01</argument>
                </arguments>
            </referenceBlock>
        </referenceBlock>
    </body>
</page>

Reverse - reviews should be first

In the above image the review tab has to come first.

I tried changing the priority also but it didn’t work.
