bluetooth – Airpods pro immediately turn off when disconnected from power supply

I own a pair of airpods pro that have recently been exhibiting a lot of problems.

Problem 1:
When connected to a power supply, connected to my phone and near my phone, the airpods’ notification banner repeatedly pops up every 1-2 seconds until the airpods just disconnect on their own.

Problem 2:
When i remove them from a charger the light on the case immediately turns off (holding the button on the back does not do anything) and i cannot connect to them from any device.

Both of these problems occur when my airpods case has a full charge. Resetting the airpods does not fix them and ios is up to date on my phone.

python – How can i turn a time series to a function and apply taylor series?

Hey I am trying to find similarities in the evolution of different time series and cluster them according to taylor series.

There are multiple observations that look like this:

Person 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019
A      1.0  1.0  1.0  1.0  8.0  10.0 11.0 10.0 12.0 13.0 15.0 19.0 16.0
B      4.0  4.0  4.0  3.0  3.0  3.0  3.0  3.0  3.0  3.0  3.0  3.0  3.0
C      19.0 15.0 17.0 16.0 15.0 19.0 19.0 21.0 32.0 35.0 36.0 38.0 45.0

Is there a way to do this in python?

lock screens – Turn off “double-tap to unlock” on Samsung Galaxy S7

I have a Galaxy S7 SM-G930U and had the same issue. Both during incoming and outgoing phone calls my phone would display a padlock symbol and a message reading “Double tap to unlock.” This would overlay the call information screen behind. When the message was displayed, I was unable to hear a ring or voice on the call.

The workaround was to quickly double-tap and press speaker to allow the phone call to function.

I had recently installed a new head phone jack inside the phone and had also received a software update. Trying new phone apps did not solve the problem, so I suspected it was a hardware issue. I went through all of the steps necessary to remove the back cover, disassemble the phone and removed and reattached the battery connection. I had taken this step to replace the headphone jack. Somehow the battery connection must have been loose because reattaching the battery solved the ‘double-tap’ issue for me. Disassembling your phone is a process, be careful, or take your phone to a shop to check it.

dnd 5e – Do start of turn artifact properties work even when not in turn order/initiative time?

In this long-running 5E campaign, a player has received a powerful artifact sword. While the sword is homebrewed, the majority of its properties are randomly generated from the artifact properties tables in the DMG.

I’m appealing here for a mechanical ruling as to the appropriate interpretation of one such property of the sword (see the details below). Any supporting official rules text, or sage advice on the subject (I did not find any), would be greatly appreciated. If there is none, and it is a matter for the DM to rule on, then opinions would of course be welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Based on the following givens, and two provided possible interpretations, what is the correct interpretation of the example random beneficial property? Put another way, when does the given property trigger, and when does it not trigger? Please provide any rules justification for your answer.

  1. In 5E, a round of combat is 6 seconds long, which is also the theoretical length of a player character’s turn in that combat.
  2. In 5E, artifacts may have random properties.
  3. Some artifact properties reference an effect happening “at the start of your turn,” for example: from DMG page 219, the Major Beneficial Properties table,

“While attuned to the artifact, you regain 1d6 hit points at the start of your turn if you have at least 1 hit point.”

Conflicting Interpretations:

Player: an item with the above property passively heals the attuned character by 1d6 hit points every 6 seconds, regardless of circumstance (initiative, combat, etc.), until they reach their hit point maximum.

DM: an item with the above property passively heals the attuned character by 1d6 hit points at the start of their turn, which requires that play is proceeding in initiative order, and does not heal a character while out of turn-based play.

Of course, if another unspecified interpretation is correct, this is also welcome!

How can I turn off the screen while playing a video on Telegram?

I want to play a video on the Telegram app, then stream it to my TV, then turn off the screen of the mobile and watch only on the TV. But the problem is when I share my screen with the TV, after I play the video, my mobile screen still runs and if I turn off the screen by hand the TV screen shows my mobile lock screen too!

How can I just turn off the mobile screen while playing a video on the telegram app?

As another idea I searched on the internet I could find some bots like Direct Link Generator, but tey generate download link not online playable video link.

In facebook news feed “person X replied to a comment” or “person X commented on a post” how do I turn these OFF?

I get notifications on my Facebook feed that one (and it’s not just one for this happening) of my friends “replied to a comment” or “commented on a post” and then it brings up the post and their comment. Usually these are clickbait with 1000s or 1,000,000 of comments. I don’t want to see ANY of these. All I can do is click “Hide post – see fewer of these” but it doesn’t seem to help. How can I just tell Facebook “I don’t want notifications of any friend’s comments on random posts.”

unity – Making VR head turn add rotation to player controller

Diagram of control scheme

I want to make a control system where, if you look far enough left or right, the controller starts to rotate.

To do this, I find the vector (Vh) between L & R hand controllers, then
find the angle between Vh and the player Fwd direction.

Here’s what I got…

using System.Collections;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using UnityEngine;

public class HeadRot : MonoBehaviour

    public GameObject head;
    public GameObject handL;
    public GameObject handR;
    public int lookLimit = 55;
    public float spinRate = 0.2f;
    private float spinit;

    void Update()
        Vector3 lineDirection = (handR.transform.position - handL.transform.position);

        float turn = 90- Vector3.Angle(lineDirection, head.transform.forward);

        spinit = 0;
        if (turn < 0 && turn < -lookLimit) {spinit = -spinRate; }
        if (turn > lookLimit) {spinit = spinRate; }

        transform.rotation = Quaternion.Euler(new Vector3(transform.eulerAngles.x, transform.eulerAngles.y + spinit, transform.eulerAngles.z));

How do i make it apply a little angular acceleration instead of instantaneous velocity?

And how can I let the natural rigid body rotational drag kick in to dampen the spin after?

How to turn ON/OFF "Force GPU rendering" using bash command

macbook pro – Sidecar to turn iPad into a Wacom style tablet (i.e. Pen Tablet)?

The word “Tablet” is overloaded. It could refer to a device like an iPad, but it could also refer to a device similar to a Wacom tablet, often called a “pen tablet” or “graphics tablet.”

I recently started using Sidecar and noticed the documentation states:

You can also use (your Apple Pencil) to write, sketch, and mark up documents while seeing the updates live on your Mac.

This sounded like the iPad could be used as a Pen Tablet just like a Wacom tablet. I.e. I “write on my document” and “see the updates live on my Mac.” However, I don’t see how to enable that feature. (Sidebar: if they’re referring to something else here, please let me know what they mean by this line.)

The closest I could get was by mirroring the screen and drawing on the tablet. However, this has several disadvantages over a Pen Tablet:

  1. It only has one mode, absolute mode. A tablet like Wacom allows you to choose between absolute (i.e. Pen mode) vs. relative (i.e. Mouse mode) mode.
  2. Theres no “hover” feature that Pen Tablets usually have. This is useful so you know where you’re about to draw on the screen before you actually draw. Even if it’s not possible for the iPad to detect when the pen is hovering above it, the same effect could likely be mimicked thanks to the pressure sensitivity (e.g. light pressure = hover, stronger pressure = click).
  3. Since the screen resolutions aren’t the same, I’m either going to have black bars on my iPad or black bars on my MacBook. Had it been functioning as a Pen Tablet, it wouldn’t need to match any resolutions, therefore I could use my iPad’s entire screen real estate for pen gestures, as well as my entire MacBook’s screen real estate for display purposes.
  4. It needs to send video data to the iPad, likely reducing battery life on both the iPad and MacBook. (E.g. as opposed to keeping the screen off/black.)

If there was a way to turn an iPad into a Pen Tablet via Sidecar, similar to how the documentation suggests, I’m guessing all of those issues would likely be addressed.

Also note that I’d rather avoid a 3rd party app so I don’t need to install/set up anything.
