2010 – Determine if we are patched for all security updates

For an Intranet site, SharePoint Foundation 2010 is used. The people running it have left for another company and we have a patch audit next week.
The current person who manages it has never managed SharePoint before and is trying to help. According to him, 14.0.7241.5000 is the SharePoint.dll version and 14.0.7175.5000 is the farm generation version of the PowerShell Get-SPVersion.BuildVersion command

I understand SharePoint fixes https://sharepointupdates.com/Patches build 14.0.7241.5000 is the most recent security fix.

I told them that the "Manage patch status" page in Central Administration can check the patch status on different servers, but others are affected
because 14.0.7175.5000 is a farm construction version which is for KB3118391 published in December 2016.

  1. Should we be worried because version 14.0.7175.5000 is a farm construction version which is for KB3118391 released in December 2016?

  2. Or, do we agree because 14.0.7241.5000 is the SharePoint.dll version?

  3. What should we check to make sure the SharePoint servers are fixed?

Thank you

disable all updates forever

Every night my macbook turns off and updates.

I have disabled all the systems I can find, but when I fall asleep and come back, it is either trying to reboot due to the software update and an application that has an unregistered state blocks it, or it is deactivated.

what can i do to block any software update attempts?

I'm tearing my hair out.

Media Entity 2.x database updates cannot occur – discrepancy between media and generic media

Maybe someone encountered this little "logical circle" problem.

Try to update all my modules (Drupal 8.8.2). I cannot update the "Media Entity 2.x" module database. I'm interested:

One or more of your existing media types are using the Generic source, which has been moved into a separate "Media Entity Generic" module. You need to download this module to your codebase before continuing.

I installed the generic media entity module as shown, and tried again to update the database for "Media Entity 2.x".

This time I get an error stating:

In order to run the Media Entity 2.x upgrade, please uninstall and remove from the codebase the contributed "Media" module.

But I can't uninstall it. When I try to do it, I find that I should uninstall "Media generic" – the VERY module that I was told to install in the first error. Indeed, it requires the "Media" module.

Thoughts?

operating systems – About Microsoft providing Windows 10 updates

I'm really curious to know the answers to these questions. I hope you can help me.

1- How long will Surface Go receive software updates (functionality and security)?

2- Is there a difference between:
• software updates (functionality and security) delivered to Microsoft hardware (Surface line devices)
and
• software updates (functionality and security) delivered to computers of other manufacturers (such as LG, for example …)
???

3- Is Microsoft hardware supported with software updates (functionality and security) for a longer period of time than computers from other manufacturers?

Thank you.

database design – Updates from the previous validation point Vs updates before the validation point

The quote below is from An Introduction to Database Systems, 8th edition, C J Date. I'm confused because I think "all updates from the previous validation point" are the same as "updates before the validation point". Am I wrong?

"all database updates made by the runtime from the previous validation point are engaged; that is, they are made permanent, in the sense that they are guaranteed to be saved in the database. Before the validation point , all of these updates should be considered temporary only temporary "
