usa – Can I re-enter the US by air without needing a Covid test if I’ve had the vaccine?

Currently, no.

You can see the requirements on the site American Airlines has arranged. A negative test result is still required.

The CDC’s site directly addresses this issue:

What if I have had a COVID-19 vaccine or have tested positive for antibodies? Do I still need a negative COVID-19 test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19?

Yes, at this time all air passengers traveling to the US, regardless of vaccination or antibody status, are required to provide a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery.

Given the variety of vaccines available around the world, uncertainty about their effectiveness in preventing transmission, the difficulties around various proposed “vaccine passport” schemes, uncertainty about vaccine efficacy and protection against variants, and so on, it wouldn’t surprise me if this remained the case for some time.

Am I allowed to glue my vaccine card to my passport?

I got vaccinated and I want to attach my vaccination card to my passport. I figure that I can staple or glue it onto one of the pages reserved for visas. I wonder if that counts as modifying it or has unforeseen negative consequences. I have a US passport.

covid 19 – Sputnik V vaccine for non-Russians

As more Russian citizens are vaccinated and the country ramps up its production, is there any possibility that Sputnik V will become available for those traveling to Russia? Or, as an alternative, will its international distribution be broadened so that people may travel to other countries to receive this vaccine?

Finding Vaccine Appointments in MA

Everyday I spend a crazy amount of time clicking though each maze of hyperlinks and forms on this horrendous site: https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/

Is there anyway that Mathematica can help speed up the process of finding out if there are available appointments for people with 2+ co-morbidities?

Where in the world can I travel with a COVID vaccine passport?

My grandparents got their vaccine shots recently and according to government authorities I should get mine by June at the latest. Where in the world can I travel with a “vaccination passport”? To clarify: I’m looking for regions where there’s a distinct entry procedure for those who can prove they’ve been vaccinated. I.e. usually travelers have to take a PCR test, but those who are vaccinated are exempt from that rule.

Bonus questions:

  1. What kind of forms/cards are accepted as a “vaccination passport”?
  2. Does it matter which vaccine you’ve received?

This question might sound a bit far fetched at the moment, but more than 181 million shots have already been distributed around the world so this will soon become a central policy question for many countries.

In Moscow, who can be inoculated with the Sputnik V vaccine?

On German TV, there are reports that in the shopping mall GUM (ГУМ) in central Moscow anyone who walks in and shows a passport can be inoculated with the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against COVID-19.

Could anyone (maybe living in Moscow) confirm this is really true for everybody? Or would they ask for proof of Russian residency for example? Basically, if I am in Moscow on a business trip, can I go there and get vaccinated?

How is the vaccine roll out in your country?

Up here in Canada we have vaccinated a grand total of 171,751 people as of Jan.6 a.m. 2021. This is out of a population of 36,000,000. To date we have begun to vaccinate seniors in long term care homes, and natives on native reserves.
The plan is to hit these groups first as they are the most impacted. After that we are going to get to our health care providers, then the over 80 crowd. Following these we are going to go in 5 year increments, that is to say 75-79 then 70-74, then 65-69, after that we hit the general population.

Canada is vowing to have everyone who wants the Covid-19 vaccine vaccinated by June. So far the Pfifer and the Moderna vaccine are being used. We expect the Astra-Zeneca vaccine to be approved this week, with the Johnsons & Johnsons vaccine approved next month.

So how is the vaccine roll out progressing where you are? Israel is now leading the world with 17% of it’s population immunized, quite impressive.
