I'm trying to migrate the forms of an ERP application from the workstation implementation to the Web implementation, which uses the default CSS Bootstrap file. The result is bad enough. The form that took only a portion of the screen in the desktop application (without any scrollbar) now occupies more than twice as much space on the screen in the web application. And all this is because the default Bootstarp elements (input fields, buttons, etc.) are so large. So, is it a good practice to customize Bootstrap to minimize the size of items if I want to use it for ERP forms. We anticipate that our application will be used primarily from desktop computers using browsers.
