I'm trying to open port 443 on Windows Server 2012. I've used the World Wide Web Service (HTTPS Traffic-In) firewall rule to achieve this, but an nmap scan to distance indicates that https is filtered.
I've compared this rule to the World Wide Web (HTTP Traffic-In) rule and (with the exception of the port) they are identical. A remote nmap analysis shows that http is open.
A local netstat indicates that port 443 listens on all IP addresses
You do not know what to look for
p.s. the site is available via HTTPS locally, so I do not think this is an IIS problem
